DISPLAY ASSEMBLY THAT CAN BE TRACTED
The present invention relates to a display assembly, in particular an advertising display assembly, able to be towed, for example by a bicycle, a motorized machine such as a two-wheeled, three-wheeled, four-wheeled, by a animal, or manually, or by a person riding on roller skates, etc.
Such an assembly comprises a frame / chassis intended to carry a display surface, such as a tarpaulin on which is formed a "visual" appearing on at least one side of the frame, advantageously on both sides of the frame, or else a display video.
The lower cross member of the frame generally carries in its rear region an axle uniting two freewheels disposed on either side of the frame, generally at the same distance from the axle, although this is not always the case.
Such a display assembly is known from the Romanian patent application RO 127927 A2, according to which the axle consists of two pieces each in the form of an elongated strip bent near its end. These parts each cooperate with the axis of a wheel at their curved end and come at their other end in abutment against one side of the bottom rail of the frame to be fixed.
Such an assembly of the axle piece has been found to pose technical problems, said part undergoing twists, destabilizing the frame and unbalancing the wind, thus bringing security problems for the person who rolls the assembly. display. These technical problems even end in a rupture of the axle and consequently in the frame itself, which becomes unusable. Indeed, the two tight bands composing the axle compress the lower rail and, in case of impact, cause a breakage of the latter near the axle at the front of the latter.
The present invention aims to overcome these disadvantages to provide a display assembly of the aforementioned type, which is solid and stable, so reliable and thus providing all the required security. For this purpose, it is provided according to the invention that the axle passes through the lower cross member of the frame passing through a hole made therein and is made integral therewith, for example by screwing. Thus is constituted a very solid axle assembly, without play, so rigid, avoiding all the problems mentioned above; the axle member, preferably consisting of a solid metal (steel) cylindrical bar, provides strength and ballast at the rear of the display assembly.
Furthermore, the invention offers the additional advantages of: - allowing to adapt directly to the axle, especially by screwing, a ballast system at the rear of the display assembly, which allows to perfect the stability of the frame, managing even better the catch in the wind; and - to realize the axle in several parts designed to be able to shorten it when one passes from the rolling position to a stopping position in which the display must also be able to be seen.
The present invention relates to a display assembly adapted to be towed, and comprising a frame / frame intended to carry a display surface, and having two uprights and two cross members, said frame carrying a drawbar on one of its uprights and the lower crossbar carrying an axle uniting two wheels arranged on either side of said lower crossbar and each mounted free at one end of the axle, characterized in that the axle is mounted through a hole made in the lower rail and secured to it. The axle is advantageously mounted in the region of the frame opposite to that carrying the drawbar.
According to a particularly interesting embodiment, the axle passes through the bottom rail of the frame in a solid part thereof.
In particular, the solid part of the frame which is traversed by the axle belongs to a connecting piece of the lower rail with the amount of the frame which is opposite to that which carries the drawbar. The axle can be secured to the lower cross member of the frame by screwing, said axle having a threaded central region adapted to cooperate with a tapping hole in said lower crossbar, or is secured to the lower cross member by a fixing to bayonet or by a screw through the bottom cross and the axle through the latter.
According to a particular embodiment, the axle consists of a straight bar, in particular of cylindrical section. The axle can be made in three parts, namely a central part comprising the threaded central region adapted to cooperate with the tapping of the hole made in said lower crossbar, and two end portions adapted to extend said central portion being rendered integral with each end thereof to form an axle for the rolling position of the display assembly, the two end portions being adapted to be secured to one another to form an axle of more short length than the previous one for a stop position of the display assembly, one of the two end portions externally carrying a thread constituting the central threaded region able to cooperate, in the off position, with the threading the hole made in said cross.
Furthermore, the axle may comprise, in its regions intended to be placed in the vicinity of each of the wheels, frame side, means for receiving at least one ballast plate, such as a weighting disc, said means receiving means consisting in particular of a thread adapted to cooperate with a tapping of a central hole made in each weight plate.
Also, according to the present invention, there can be provided a removable foot, usable in the stop position of the display assembly, which has an end by which it is adapted to be screwed into the central hole of a base, and whose other end is adapted to be fixed to the lower cross member of the frame, advantageously having a recess forming an end portion adapted to be applied against the lower cross member of the frame, in the region opposite to that carrying the axle, said base can also serve as one of the weighting disks able to come and cooperate also by screwing with the axle by placing itself in the vicinity of a wheel inside the display assembly.
The drawbar may be constituted firstly by a rod carrying, at one end, a connecting spoon with the bicycle or motorized vehicle by which the display assembly can be towed, and a thread at its other end. and, secondly, by a stirrup adapted to grip the frame of the frame by its two wings and whose bottom has a threaded blind hole adapted to cooperate with the thread of said rod. Such a structure ensures reliable operation of the drawbar, which is securely fixed to the frame by the stirrup, and cooperates flexibly with the bicycle. In this way, breakage of the drawbar is avoided, which is observed with the aforementioned known display assembly.
To better illustrate the object of the present invention, will be described below several embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawing.
In this drawing: - Figure 1a is a perspective view of a display assembly according to the invention, towed by a bicycle; - Figure 1b is a schematic side view of the assembly of Figure 1a; - Figures 2a, 2b and 2c each show a perspective view of a forming bar according to the case of a cross and / or a frame amount of said display panel; - Figures 3a and 3b respectively show a side view and a top view of a first connecting piece between two frame bars; - Figures 4a and 4b respectively show a side view and a top view of a second connecting piece between two frame bars; - Figures 5a and 5b show a side view and a top view of a third connecting piece between two frame bars; Figure 6 is a schematic side view of a display panel frame without the fixing screws made in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention; Figure 7 is a view similar to Figure 6 of a frame made in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention; Figures 8a, 8b and 8c are elevational views respectively of the three axle parts, the axle mounted with these three parts and the axle mounted with the two end portions only; - Figures 9a and 9b are partial perspective views illustrating the mounting of the axle, the latter being in the position of Figures 8b and 8c respectively; - Figure 10 is a partial exploded perspective view of a portion of Figure 9a or 9b; - Figure 11 is a partial perspective view of the frame of the display panel in the stopping position of the bicycle; - Figure 12 is a partial perspective view of the display panel frame showing the connection with the drawbar or bar charrette; and Figures 13a and 13b are on a larger scale respectively top and side views of the connecting piece of the cart bar with the frame of the display panel.
With reference to FIG. 1, it can be seen that a cyclist Cy mounted on a bicycle V is shown schematically and pedaling to pull on the ground a display unit 1 according to the invention formed by a frame 2 in a vertical position when the bicycle V rolls, frame which is mounted on two rear wheels 3 coming from both sides thereof and which is connected to the bicycle V by a drawbar or bar cart 4 .
The frame 2 is intended to receive a display panel 5, which, in the example shown, consists of a tarpaulin for example a PVC tarpaulin having peripheral 6 corresponding holes for the passage of cable tie or clamp 7.
The display panel 5 has a "visual" on at least one of its sides, preferably on both.
Alternatively, one could also provide two panels bearing a visual, one being attached to one side of the frame and the other on the other side.
The frame 2 can have different formats and different dimensions. In addition, it can be flexible. In the drawing, FIGS. 6 and 7 show two frames 2 of rectangular shape, bearing the reference numerals respectively 2A and 2B, the frames 2A and 2B being of the same height but the frame 2B being longer than the frame 2A .
Frames 2 (2A and 2B) are formed from bars A, B and C shown in Figures 2a-2c respectively and connecting pieces D, E and F shown in Figures 3a and 3b, 4a and 4B respectively. 5a and 5b.
Bars A to C are tubular pieces of rectangular section, made for example of aluminum. - The bar A, slightly longer than the bars B and C in the example shown, has on each of its two wider sides, a central hole 8 and in the vicinity of each of its two edges, two holes 9 located in the same transverse plane, the two holes 8 of the two wider sides of the bar A being facing one another, and the holes 9 of each pair being also facing one another. The holes 8 serve for the passage of a cable clamp 7. - The bar B has at one of its two ends two rounded edges 10 opposite its wider sides and an opening 11 of its smallest side from the borders opposite the rounded edges 10, on a height which will be defined below. Furthermore, the bar B comprises, about one-third and two-thirds of its length and in the vicinity of its edge with the opening 11, a hole which is the equivalent of the hole 8 of the bar A, also referenced 8, and close to each end, holes which are the equivalent of the holes 9 of the bar A, also referenced 9, with a hole 9 of the same dimension in the transverse plane of the hole 8 adjacent the end of the bar B. - The bar C differs from the bar B in that it comprises two other holes 12 located in the same longitudinal plane on each of the two longer sides of the bar C, the holes 12 on both sides being also in position. look at each other. The holes 8 and 9, the rounded edges 10 and the lateral opening 11 are identical to those of the bar B.
The connecting pieces D, E and F are solid parts, for example aluminum. - The connecting piece D is intended to be placed at the rear end of the bottom rail A. It has an elongated shape with a central portion 13 of generally cubic shape and two side portions 14 and 15 of smaller width and less than the part 13 (see Figure 3b): - Part 13 is pierced with a through hole 16 which is threaded and which is intended to receive the axle 17A or 17B which will be described below. This part will remain visible in the setting of the frame. - Part 14, intended to be placed at the end of the lower rail, being received in the opening 11 of a bar B, present in its region intended to be placed at the base of the lower rail, a rounded shape in the extension of the portion 13. Moreover, the portion 14 has a hole 8 'intended to come opposite a hole 8 of a bar B and three holes 9' intended to come opposite the three holes 9 - The portion 15, intended to be received in an end region of a bar A, has the same holes as the portion 14, arranged symmetrically with respect thereto. However, only the two end holes 9 'are used, facing the two respective holes 9 of a bar A. The remaining holes 8' and 9 'are not used, being only formed for reasons of convenience. manufacturing. - The connecting piece E differs from the part D in that its central portion also referenced 13 has a hole 8 'aligned with those of the lateral parts also referenced 14 and 15, said hole 8' being intended for the passage of a greenhouse 7. The connecting piece F is intended to connect two bars A or two bars B or a bar B and a bar C by their ends having two holes 9. It differs from the connecting piece E by the fact that the parts 14 and 15 are symmetrical. The hole 8 'of the portion 13 is for the passage of a cable clamp and the holes 8' and 9 'of the parts 14 and 15 in the vicinity of the portion 13 are present for convenience of manufacture.
Holes 9 and 9 'when facing each other in the assembled frame 2 (FIGS. 1, 6 and 7) serve for the passage of screws 9 "for fixing the parts making up the frame 2. Such screws can thus be seen on the detail shown in FIG. 11.
Referring now to FIGS. 8a to 8c, it can be seen that there is shown an axle 17A formed of a cylindrical rod, made in three parts 18, 19 and 20, and an axle 17B formed of two ( 19, 20) of these parts: - the part 18 has a thread 21 in its central part; it has a tapped axial recess 22 at one of its ends and ends at the other end by a threaded end 23, of smaller diameter; - Part 19 has a thread 24 at one of its ends, to which it is extended by a rod 25 of smaller diameter, ending in a threaded portion 26, and ends at its other end by a threaded end 27 similar to the tip 23; - The portion 20 has a thread 28 at one of its ends, to which it is extended by a rod 29 of smaller diameter ending in a threaded portion 30, the rod 29 and the threaded portion 30 being similar respectively to the rod 25 and the threaded portion 26, and terminates at its other end by a tapped axial recess 31 similar to the recess 22; in addition, the portion 20 has a thread 32 near its end comprising the recess 31.
In FIG. 8b, it can be seen that the three parts 18, 19 and 20 have been screwed together, which forms the axle 17A with its central thread 21 which will cooperate with the hole 16 of the part D, the two rods of FIG. end 25 and 29 being intended to cooperate with the axial bearing of a respective wheel 3.
On the threads 24 and 28, weighting discs 33 may be screwed, two for each thread in the example shown, as can be seen in FIGS. 9a, 9b and 10.
In Figure 11, there is shown an accessory which is a foot 34 on which we will be able to come to support the frame when the bike is stopped, so as to maintain this vertical frame to present it.
This foot 34 consists of a rod 35 having at one end a thread 36 for screwing it into a base 37, advantageously having the same shape and size as a weighting disc 33, the rod 35 being indented at its other end to form an end portion 38 adapted to be applied against a bar A of the lower rail, this end portion having two holes facing the holes 9 of the bar A and the holes 9 of the part E for attachment by screwing with the 9 "screws.
Referring now to FIG. 12 and FIGS. 13a and 13b, it can be seen that there is shown a two-part pull rod 4 or cart bar, namely a rod portion 39 consisting of one end a spoon 40 or ball joint adapted to cooperate with a coupling ball fitted to the bicycle V and at its other end a threaded end adapted to cooperate by screwing with a threaded recess 41 formed in the bottom of a stirrup 42 of which the two wings 42a, 42b are intended to be placed on either side of a bar C, each of these wings having holes 12 'for the passage of screws 12 "for the removable mounting of the drawbar 4 on the frame.
It is understood that the particular embodiment which has just been described has been given as an indication and not limitation and that modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
